The Scottish Highlands is renowned for its wild beauty, grandeur and rich cultural heritage – nowhere more apparent than in Dornoch.
This unguided bus service will take our cruise guests north from the port of Invergordon, stopping by at the world renowned Glenmorangie Scotch Whisky Distillery visitor centre,* before travelling on to spend time in Dornoch.
Take your time and enjoy Dornoch’s big outdoors – beaches, golf courses, sports, history, stunning scenery, great walks and wonderful wildlife – you can do it all from Dornoch.
Historylinks Museum, located close to the bus parking area, is a must visit.
In Dornoch you won’t find a row of high street chain outlets but, spread around the town, you will find unique shops, filled with character and quality items. From craft butchers to high quality gift shops, enjoy browsing and indulge yourself.
A visit to Dornoch would not be complete though without visiting the majestic Dornoch Cathedral that dates back to the 12th century, and the first class attraction that is the Carnegie Courthouse, where inside you’ll find one of the finest little shops in the town, Carnegie Whisky Cellars. The fine old courthouse stands alongside the historic Dornoch Castle that’s now a thriving hotel.
Refreshment options and ladies and gents toilet facilities are located around the town.**
The bus will return to Invergordon at least 90 minutes before port departure time.
Seats on this bus are limited – early online reservation avoids disappointment.

A church service at Dornoch Cathedral may coincide with a Sunday visit to the town.
